9:00am, our guide pick you up at your hotel and start this exciting 8-hour cycling trail with mountain bikes in the surroundings of Vientiane.
From Vientiane a truck or tuk tuk will take you with the bikes to Ban Tanmixay Village to start cycling, passing picturesque rice fields to the left and the mountains of the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area on the right. Take a break upon reaching the River Time Resort at the Nam Ngum River, where we take a ferry down the river for about 30 minutes to Ban Thadindeng, a Hmong village. Explore the village before continuing on a dirt road in the midst of the rice fields.
After passing Ban Thakai, continue to Ban Tontam where you will have your deserved picnic lunch at the nice "Sala" (meeting hall) of the village surrounded by a beautiful pond and nearby Phou Khao Khouay mountain range as a picture worthy backdrop.
After lunch you will cycle to Ban Thakokhai and take a ferry for crossing the Nam Ngum River. The final destination of our biking tour is the Ban Pako Resort, where we will take another boat for going up-stream to Ban Somesamai. Here your truck or tuk tuk, respectively, will be waiting for you to return to Vientiane.
If time allows, you will stop at Wat Veunphan Temple opposite to Ban Somesamai for a short visit. When the tour ends, you will be transferred back to your hotel by 5:00 pm.
